Jeff East,

CFP® Managing Director, Pinnacle Asset Management Financial Advisor, RJFS

As a partner of Moody + East Investment Partners, Jeff manages the investment portfolios and coordinates the financial affairs for a select group of families and individuals that includes corporate executives, business owners and physicians. He has always enjoyed statistics and finance. “Being able to work in finance and advise clients on their financial picture is very rewarding and gratifying,” he says.

Jeff is a Certified Financial Planner professional who has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.

“My goal for our clients is to understand where they are, where they want to go, and how we are going to get there,” Jeff says. “I want them to be able to open their portfolio or their financial plan and know exactly where they stand as it relates to their goals.”

Whether it’s portfolio management or financial planning, Jeff always strives to take the difficult or complex financial matters and explain them in a way his clients can understand.

Before joining Pinnacle Asset Management and Raymond James Financial Services in 2016, Jeff was vice president at Regions Investment Services. Earlier, he was an investment management consultant at Morgan Keegan, which was acquired by Raymond James while he was there. “Raymond James is very similar to how I want my practice to be perceived: personable, relatable, trustworthy and competent,” he says.

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in management and finance from the University of Tennessee, where he worked in the football recruiting office for two seasons during Coach Fulmer’s tenure.  Before transferring to Tennessee, he played quarterback at Southeast Missouri State. He furthered his education when he received his certificate in financial planning from Northwestern University.

Originally from Jackson, Tennessee, Jeff lives in Brentwood with his wife, Chelsie, and their three children, Avery, Sam and Drew. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, going to the lake or beach, watching University of Tennessee sports, and coaching his kids’ youth sports. He also caddies for their youth golf tournaments and is affectionately known as their “caddie daddy.”
