Hunter’s journey into the financial services profession began with a determination to follow in his father’s footsteps. As a second-generation wealth management advisor, Hunter’s father helped inspire his passion to guide individuals, corporations and trusts with sound financial planning advice, responsive service and a full suite of wealth management tools.

Being a Certified 401(k) Professional™ C(k)P® practitioner, Hunter has extensive experience and a long-standing dedication to the corporate and non-profit retirement plan market. On a day-to-day basis, he provides comprehensive planning and support that empowers his institutional clients to deliver quality retirement plans to their most valued asset – their employees.

Hunter is also Series 7, 63 and 66; and Variable & Life Insurance license holder. His designations and accolades are further backed by a B.S. in finance from the University of Tennessee; a Certificate in Financial Planning from the Christian Brothers University School of Business; and a 401(k) Professional Certification from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Before joining Raymond James in 2021, Hunter served as an advisor consultant at New York Life Investments, where he was responsible for delivering market and proprietary exchange traded fund and mutual fund investment updates. Hunter’s previous roles also include VP of territory sales at American Century Investments and managing director for Tennessee at Mass Mutual – where he honed his knowledge of alternative investment solutions and retirement planning for his clients.

Today, Hunter’s commitment to building a strong partnership with his clients remains true. Through comprehensive wealth planning, he prioritizes delivering prudent guidance, astute wealth counsel and always acting in his client’s best interest.

Outside the office, Hunter is involved in the Philanthropic Leadership Committee at Brentwood Methodist Church, which proudly supports Habitat for Humanity, Room In The Inn and BUMC Outreach Initiative. He can also regularly be found on the golf course, fishing, snow skiing and supporting the Tennessee Vols Athletics.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Hunter currently lives in Brentwood with his wife, Kelly, and three children.
